Everything you want to know about the vows of André and Monique
It could happen to you. You think you're going to a corona-proof benefit gala... Is it actually your own marriage proposal. WHUT. It happened to Monique Westenberg, or should I almost say Monique Hazes now? Last Saturday, she unsuspectingly got into the car with a friend, and not long after, she said yes to her André.
He arranged everything extremely secretly. The date was also not just any date: it is the death date of her dog Dunya. If you follow Monique a bit, you know that she is a huge dog lover and that her dog Dunya meant everything to her. So it's nice that André chose that date.
Did she really know nothing? Well, no. And luckily for us, Monique understands that we are all very curious and has posted the entire proposal on Instagram. Now we know, for example, that ‘their’ song is The Time Of My Life. Monique herself says she missed André's entire speech because she was in such shock. Handy that everything was filmed (by a professional cameraman, nothing just with a phone, this had to be top-notch), and we can also enjoy it. Okay, to be very honest: it is really quite sweet. André is just a secret romantic.
And now I am of course curious about what their wedding will look like. I don't assume it will be during corona time, because I think they both love a big party. It would be great if they share everything on Insta — then we are a bit there too and I am way too curious for this myself. Want. To. Know. Everything.
