Giel Beelen goes through his radio show

You could say it's because of messing with the clock, but then Giel Beelen should have woken up a whole hour earlier this morning, which he simply didn't do this time.

We say ‘this time’, because it's not the first time Beelen has overslept for his new show on Radio 2. Normally, he operates the controls from four to six o'clock, but during his first broadcast, Giel was late due to a flat tire, and last week he showed up an hour and a half later than usual, as reported by RTL Boulevard. All of this is particularly annoying for the colleagues who have to work overtime, of course, but last night the radio DJ managed to not wake up at all.

His colleagues are not amused. Rick van Velthuysen points out that this is the second time in four days, which of course has to be joked about. Although Van Velthuysen is not entirely reassured, he still says: ‘It can't be that we're making jokes while serious things are happening.’ Let's indeed hope not. For now, BNNVARA has not yet responded, and according to his colleagues, Giel's phone was still off at six o'clock. It is certain that someone stepped out of bed on the wrong side this morning...
