Just about that dinner of Daniëlle Oerlemans

It is no big secret that the Insta account of Daniëlle Oerlemans is my favorite account. It is the perfect blend of Dutch down-to-earthness and the LA lifestyle. If you check her Stories today, you will see the most beautifully set table on her immense terrace with an infinity pool, but also two little squirrel babies that were crying somewhere without their mother and whom she has taken under her wing. That, her incredibly beautiful children, the lovely Reinout with his mustache, their travels (skiing in Aspen, biking in Canada, sailing in Sicily) makes it my favorite Insta go-to.

This morning my loyal visit was rewarded again, because I had indeed seen the day before yesterday that Daniëlle had set a fantastic table; this morning I found out who all had joined. Celebrity stylist and designer Rachel Zoe, shoe designer Brian Atwood, Italian it-girl, stylist and Vogue journalist Erica Pelosini (who is actually married to a Dutchman: Louis Leeman) and couturier Monique Lhuillier. Everyone had, I conclude this as I check their Insta Stories, a great evening and everyone praises the hospitality of their ‘favorite Dutchie’ Daniëlle Oerlemans.

Then I still swoon a little over the bouquet she probably received the next day as thanks from @ericbuterbaugh, a LA-based florist who is followed by Jennifer Aniston, Aerin Lauder, Jessica Alba and Ayda Field Williams and has the rather brilliant tagline: ‘life is short. Stop and smell the fucking roses.’
