Just about the WIDM final

In case you haven't noticed: here come SPOILERS. So stop reading if you don't want to know who won Wie is de Mol?, who the Mole was, and basically everything that happened in the finale. You've been warned.
That final was this past weekend and of course it was quite an event, but the reactions this year are... Not so great. People are disappointed. It's already a shame that the final isn't being held from Vondelpark (thanks ‘Rona), but understandable. We watched it comfortably from the couch and that's fine too, because the weather was really bad and Vondelpark was almost blown away.
But then. The Mole. That was (yes I'm going to warn again: SPOILER incoming) Jeroen. I saw that coming because last week I already wrote that Jeroen was unmasked as the Mole and that turned out to be true. Nikkie de Jager, who won this season, figured that out much earlier than we did. From the very first episode, she knew that Jeroen would be the Mole. Well done, Nikkie.
Nice: she donates the entire prize money to KWF, for her little brother. The last time Nikkie participated in Wie is de Mol? she voluntarily left the program early due to her brother's illness. Sadly, he has since passed away, so Nikkie participated again and won. 12,000 euros will go to KWF. Nice gesture.
Actually sounds like a pretty good episode, right, that final? Well, not really. People are disappointed and I understand that, because there is one question left: Where. Were. Those. Hints? That's exactly what Wie is de Mol? is known for, right? Why everyone enthusiastically analyzes every detail to the bottom. Why people call themselves 'molloten' and spend quite a bit of free time proving that their Mole is indeed the Mole. Those clues and sly, sneaky hints were conspicuously absent this season. I find that quite unworthy of a Mole.
New season, new opportunities? Absolutely fine: the new season starts on January 2 and as I mentioned last week, it will take place most likely in the Czech Republic. Exciting.
