Netflix is coming out with a very fun romcom: Love Wedding Repeat

Yesss, I'm looking forward to this. Finally, a nice romcom that is really fun (if I see the trailer like this, huh), where you don't have to think too much and where you can even laugh. Seems too good to be true, but I really have high hopes for it. It’s about time after super sweet fiascos like The Knight Before Christmas or Falling Inn Love. Yes Netflix, you still owed us something.
And they are now trying to make it up with Love Wedding Repeat. And that little word ‘Repeat’ is what this film is all about. Okay, and the word ‘Wedding’ as well, actually. The whole film takes place in one day, which is the wedding day of Jack's sister. And that is – as you probably expect – not going smoothly at all. His ex shows up, her ex shows up, the girl, or the one that got away, also makes her appearance, and we see that day from everyone's perspective.
Pretty stressful for someone like Jack (Sam Claflin, from The Hunger Games). Especially when everyone deals with it in a way that feels very familiar to me: by getting drunk. So here and there, guests are staggering around, someone falls off the balcony, and the whole wedding seems to be going quite wrong. Which actually works out very well for us. The film has nice British humor that is often just a bit bolder than American romcoms. So that works out very well for us too.
Furthermore, the cast is complemented by Freida Pinto (that very beautiful woman from Slumdog Millionaire), Olivia Munn (of course known as a former style icon from America), and Eleanor Tomlinson (known as… Yes, as an actress?). It comes out on April 10 by the way, so luckily that won't take too long. We just have to get through this weekend.
