Oehlala: this new movie with Michiel Huisman is coming out online

Michiel Huisman laughing at a reporter

When you say Michiel Huisman, my heart skips a beat. You see, it all started with an interview in 2015 in a hotel suite.

When I walked in, he gestured for me to sit on the couch and I obediently did so. And then it happened. He took an apple from the fruit bowl and casually started eating that apple during our interview. The confidence. The nonchalance. I was instantly in love and jealous of the apple in question.

In the back of the room, there was also a manager watching us, but I sometimes just forget about him for the story.

Anyway Kiek, you are veeeeeeet digressing. Actually, I find Michiel attractive and I can't have an objective opinion about this man at all. So I can't tell you whether The Other Lamb (a new American horror film), which they are suddenly raving about in America, is going to be good. To put it stronger: I don't even like horror, but I don't care. Michiel. In. Lead role. Means. Must. Watch.

Long story short: in The Other Lamb we follow Huisman who lives as a sort of cult leader in a self-sufficient community in the woods with a group consisting only of women (brrr). Technology is forbidden and you understand that things are going to go horribly wrong in that forest in no time. Instead of in theaters, the film will be released directly ‘on demand’ on April 30. First on Picl (the online platform of Dutch cinemas), but from May 13 also via Pathé Thuis. Just in case you need a movie tip, you know. Here you go.
