Robert Pattinson as the new Batman

To be honest, I was a bit done with all those reboots. They often don't come close to the original, and people are always a bit protective of such a first film. I feel the same way: the new Netflix movie Ratchet, the prequel to One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, really isn't necessary in my opinion. That film has been in my top 3 for years and should be left alone.
But Batman has already been rebooted so many times that I've lost count, and I've also forgotten about the laughably bad films: George Clooney as Batman was truly the worst idea in the history of ever. But Christian Bale is the absolute best. That trilogy remains so bizarrely good? I was a little apprehensive (and many with me) when Robert Pattinson was announced as the new Batman.
Because even though he can really act well, we mainly know him as a sparkling vampire with cliché lines, and that’s generally not a good recipe for a dark Batman, you would think. Well, that trailer dropped yesterday and it is FUN. Well, fun... Quite dark, especially. But it has made me really excited for this film. That comes out in October 2021...
It’s going to be quite violent too, if I’m not mistaken. And using a Nirvana song as background music? Love it. That deep voice à la Christian Bale? Love that too. I would almost start rewatching Twilight because I suddenly like Robert Pattinson, but I won’t do that to myself. First, I’ll try his other films and wait for this one to come out. I think Christian Bale is going to have serious competition as favorite Batman. From a sparkling vampire. Who would have thought?
