the books of this Scandinavian writer are coming to NETFLIX

No idea how they do it there, but everything that is exciting they do well, there in Scandinavia. In terms of series and movies, but also in terms of books. I myself am quite a bookworm and the books by Henning Mankell are my absolute favorite. That's why this is going to be my new favorite series. Yes, I can already feel that now.
The series will be called Young Wallander and is an adaptation of the books by… Henning Mankell. YES, this is definitely going to be super exciting. The main character is named Kurt Wallander, about whom the author has created a complete series (highly recommended). This series is a prequel, before Wallander was in the police force.
In the series, Kurt has just graduated from the police academy and is assigned his first case. So he's still a rookie, but that first case won't be an easy one, of course.
The first images have just been released online and you can check them out below. Notably: despite the fact that it is a Swedish series and concept, it will be an English-language series. I didn't expect that, but I secretly always find it easier to watch in English.
A small ‘but’ though, because there is no release date yet. A bit of a shame again, but since the first teaser is already out, it can't take ages, right? And today Selling Sunset is online again, so shall we plan for a month from now for Young Wallander, Netflix? Seems like a good goal to me.
