This series is the new Peaky Blinders

For a moment I thought: whut? Are these the Peaky fookin’ Blinders? But no, it was the trailer for Gangs of London that I was watching. Holy shitballs, this looks awesome. If you're a fan of Peaky Blinders (who isn't?) you absolutely want to watch this. It's a bit of a challenge though, because it's not yet available in the Netherlands. It can't be long before someone runs off with these rights (NPO? Netflix? Videoland? Are you reading along? Thanks.), because this is definitely going to be a hit. If you find a way to watch foreign series anyway, you're in luck: Gangs of London will be available from April 23 on the British channel Sky Atlantic and in America on Cinemax.

But what is Gangs of London about then? Let me explain that in detail. Of course, it takes place in London, and specifically in the underworld. The head of the largest crime family is brutally murdered, but who did it? That's a big mystery, and main character Sean Wallace is determined to find out who the murderer is. Understandably so, as it was his father Finn Wallace who got the bullet in his head. Besides the fact that Sean is looking for who is responsible for his father's death, he also has to take over his role as the leader of the gang.

And that Sean Wallace has a very famous saying... Yes, that's John Shelby from — you guessed it — Peaky Blinders. I already love this series and I've spent the whole morning searching for how I can watch it as soon as possible. I want to see the entire first season today, there are nine episodes so that's doable in a day, right?
