Yesss, Peaky Blinders season 6 is a fact

As a real surprise, this probably isn't, but the relieving word is always nice. A bit like when you've taken an exam that you just know will be an 8. Because you've studied hard and invested a lot of time in it. Because that time investment, we've all done that with Peaky Blinders. For five seasons now. The big difference with studying for your exam is that this is ab-so-lutely not a punishment (hi Tommy Shelby). In season five, this Tommy Shelby entered politics, so there's a good chance this storyline will expand further in the sixth season. A positive point is that they will start production in February. The name of the very first episode is already known; ‘Black Day’. We can… do exactly nothing with that, I think. But that sixth season: CAN'T WAIT.

Director Anthony Byrne was asked everything by GQ magazine and he indicated that the main reason for the sixth season was writer Steve Knight. This Mr. Knight said that the series is currently the best it has ever been. Well, then you can't really stop, can you? On top of that, it felt to the director as if the previous four seasons had clear endings, and season five was more of a cliffhanger. So again: you can't really stop. I think it's all fine, as long as that sixth season comes.

And there's a good chance that seventh season will come too, you know. We at least know that Peaky Blinders continues until the start of World War II. And who knows, maybe a spin-off? A movie? Still want to catch that WWII? Ah, worries for later. First, let's look forward to the sixth season. The director himself didn't even know when it would come out: ‘I have no idea, maybe something like early 2021?’ That's fine, early 2021 it is. The Peaky fookin’ Blinders.
