Throwback Monday: MTV Cribs is coming back too

Hi, this is MTV Cribs anddd welcome to my crib. Today is a Monday in June 2020, it feels like we are more than ten years back in time. Because besides the fact that Big Brother is coming back on TV, MTV Cribs is also returning. But don't expect to find out how The Biebs lives with his wifey Hailey Baldwin, because it's a completely Dutch version that is coming. With professional footballers.

‘MTV Cribs: Footballers stay Home’ is the name of the special new series and it will be available from tomorrow, so that's nice and also a bit last-minute news, but totally fine. The most famous face (for me at least) is Lieke Martens, but also Axel Witsel, Andreas Pereira, and Jesse Lingard will show their place. Mi casa es su casa. In the meantime, they not only give a tour but also a look inside their fridge, which is probably filled with much healthier items than mine, which currently mainly contains a pizza, a lot of cheese, and a piece of cake. I don't think Lieke would be proud of me.

But by giving a look inside their fridge, they want to show the viewers how to get through the corona crisis fit. Who would have thought that MTV Cribs would get an educational twist? By the way, the series is not filmed by a fully professional team, but just by the players themselves: due to the measures, a camera crew could not film on location, so it became the selfie mode.

Honestly, I always find looking inside people's homes a bit of a guilty pleasure. It is really quite private, someone's house. So I will definitely watch tomorrow night (it's at 10:30 PM, by the way) and probably Lieke will motivate me so much that I will also give my fridge a healthy update. Win-win.
