If you can't open a nice bottle in a wine bar or restaurant, then of course you do it at home. I did cut back a bit on the lockdown drinking in this second wave, all the more important that it is a tasty wine when I do. I have friends who point out wines to me, but sometimes I actually enjoy being delighted and surprised by wine. It's trickier now without a sommelier at the kitchen table, but Vinobox found a solution. You simply provide your taste profile online and the surprise comes by mail. Do you like red, white, or rosé? Prefer light and airy or heavy and creamy? It's a matter of checking boxes and you get three bottles sent to your home that you probably didn't know yet. That's how I drank a Lynx, which is a Chardonnay from California, and now I want more Lynx. You can give the bottles to yourself or you give a flexible subscription to a wine lover. I think it's a find, such a little subscription. Am I a member of something? Yes, of wine.
