Right in with a straight leg, okay? I think it's all a bit exaggerated. Yeah, yeah, of course, history has long proven that anything big happening in the USA automatically becomes world news, but just a moment... Setting alarms and biting nails?

I really get that as an American. Or as a Dutch correspondent. But further?
I see people in my Insta feed who have never commented on politics now posting #Elections2020 stuff on social media. If something is hot, we like to join in. If we don't, we don't feel smart. Why are we such sheep anyway? Do you join in just to join in, or are you actually interested in American politics? Or do you just enjoy the spectacle? That can be too, right? That it doesn't bother you at all, but it intrigues you because it's constantly in the news.

But okay, I won't complain, it's an exciting day today for a whole lot of people. That's for sure. I get it. Will the much-discussed weirdo stay on his throne or will the whole house of cards collapse? The coming hours (or should I say days?) will tell us.
