No idea what exactly possessed my parents (I've been trying to figure that out for 32 years now) to name their child Wieke. And then with the last name Veenboer: you won't find a more rural name, I assure you. Now, the Veenboeren do descend from pirates, so I could have appreciated a cool pirate surname.
