Caitlyn Jenner furious at Jimmy Kimmel

Good morning dear people. This week I start with quite a bit of confusion, because there is a stir going on between Caitlyn Jenner and a late night show host that I really don't understand at all. Now I know that Caitlyn has been causing quite a stir here and there lately — she was in the news recently because she announced that transgender girls should not be allowed to participate in girls' sports, because they would have a biological advantage and she didn't think that was fair.

Many people found that a transphobic statement, but now she is actually the one accusing someone of that: late night host Jimmy Kimmel. Jenner was a guest on The View and about that Kimmel said in his show: ‘Are we sure this isn't just Donald Trump with a wig on? The similarities are remarkable.’ Those similarities do not refer to appearance, but to their political beliefs, which are quite similar. Kimmel also said: ‘Caitlyn Jenner has a better chance of landing a role as Batman than of becoming governor. She knows hardly anything about anything.’ Jenner indeed wants to make a run for the governorship of California, but so far she has managed to gather very few supporters.

Of course Caitlyn had something to say about this, but she thought it was purely about appearance. ‘Jimmy Kimmel apparently thinks that trans women are simply men in wigs. Where are the left and the LGBT community now?’

Just for your information: she indeed misses a letter (the Q), and that community has said that Jenner is not a friend of theirs, after the incident with her statement about sports among trans youth. So I fear you will have to fight this battle alone, Caitlyn.
