Coffee brewing chatter: everything you want to know this morning

Coffee brewing chatter: everything you want to know this morning

Happy new yeaaarrrr. The only time I have ABBA on repeat with this song is definitely during New Year's Eve, and I played it full blast this past weekend. Maybe to let it sink in that 2020 is really over. Bring on the new year. And to start that very first Monday of 2021 off right, I’ll go through the news with you.

Baby news for Merel Westrik
Yesss, so nice: Merel Westrik is pregnant. “New year, new life” she writes on Instagram, and she and her boyfriend Pepijn are over the moon. Sweet.

More baby news for Badr Hari
Double celebration at the Hari household, as he has become a father for the fourth time, this time to twins, his wife Daphne reports. The kids have been named Nora and Ayden. Badr and Daphne have been married since 2016 and already have three daughters. So the house is quite full now.

Another book about Meghan Markle
Well, if you marry into British royalty, everyone wants to make some money off you, that’s clear. So now Meghan Markle's half-sister has decided to earn a little extra and write her memoirs. The book has the intriguing title The Diary Of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part I, and yes, that means there will probably be more parts to come. It will be released on January 17 and she promises to reveal many family secrets.

“Don’t call me” for Dry January
Nice and refreshing: Fred van Leer is not participating in Dry January. “Here we go with that nonsense again” he writes on Instagram. Totally right, Fred. Cheers to that, I’m definitely not joining this trend.
