Coffee brewing chatter: everything you want to know this morning

Good morning this morning. Meeting around the coffee machine hasn't happened in months, but we zoom a lot more and I don't know if it's just me, but the Zoom sessions are increasingly less about work and more about everyday things. I find it delightful. Nice to talk about how the interview with Oprah and Harry and Meghan will go,  how Milan Fashion Week was and what the real must-have items are that we want from it. You know, just the really important things in life… Recognizable? Then you probably want to stay updated and you're in the right place here.

There is actually a new trailer out for the interview of the year. Can I say that already in March? Yes, I can say that now. Because when Oprah Winfrey manages to get the couple Harry and Meghan for a tell-all interview, it will of course be huge. Gigantically juicy too, by the way. Just check out the following snippet from the interview.

Meghan says here that she doesn't understand how ‘The Firm’ (yes, they really refer to the British royal family this way) could expect them to still be quiet after everything that has happened. Especially since The Firm played a very active role in spreading lies about the couple – according to Meghan. Because spreading those lies carries a certain risk: the risk that they could lose a lot. According to Meghan, they have already lost a lot.

Honestly, it all sounds very cryptic, and I hope Oprah really presses on this (she probably will). We want to hear hard, concrete things. What have they lost? Is she referring to her miscarriage here? When you flop down on Oprah's couch, we want to know all the ins and outs.

And the fact that we want to know all the ins and outs actually applies to every celebrity. Quite impressive, then, that Geraldine has managed to keep her new love hidden since July. Well, actually, even stronger: she is still managing to keep him hidden, because we had to make do with a vague photo. But we do have a name: since March she has been very happy with Freek. She mentioned that last night on Rooijakkers over the floor. ‘I am really very much in love. I also really like saying this out loud,‘ she says about it. CUTE.

Paris Hilton is also having a nice day today: due to her statements about the unpleasant experiences (that's still an understatement) she had at her boarding school, American legislation has changed. A bill in the state of Utah has been passed, which should ensure more control over such schools. It's remarkable that all of that was allowed for so long, but better late than never, of course.

And last but very not least: the Song Festival is going ahead this year. Jeangu Macrooy is still our ‘entry’, but he is coming with a new song. Remember last year, when the song leaked too early? New round, new chances. Tonight at 7:00 PM it will be streamable via all his social media channels.
