Coffee brewing talk: everything you want to know this morning

Good morning dear people. Well, that was quite the weekend, wasn't it? Of course, a four-day weekend (which most hopefully had) is really great. We need more of those. Oh wait, next weekend is also a three-day one. Ah, sometimes we don't have it so bad, do we? If that rain would just stop for a moment, I'd be completely happy.
And if you, like me, spent this weekend under a rock, let me quickly go over what you missed. Well, I didn't really lie under a rock; I just planned my weekend so full of fun things that I didn't worry for a moment about the fact that Bridget has a new love. Yes, yes, it's crazy, I know. Oh yes, and I'm also writing this from sunny Greece, just to make you a little last-minute jealous. Okay, ready? Let’s goooo.
Bridget is dating and everyone can know it.
Places where you would never expect to find the guy who sat two years below you in high school: in the bed of Bridget Maasland. HAHA. Yet it's true: Bridget is dating Chris (30 years old). She revealed this last week in her podcast, but on Sunday morning, Fawry not Sawry found out on Instagram who it was about, and then it all exploded quite a bit. Her management emphasizes that they are still just casually dating; there is no talk of a relationship.
Bill Gates left Microsoft for slightly different reasons than we thought?
One of the richest men on this planet said last year that he left his company Microsoft to free up more time for his philanthropy. Now, malicious tongues claim that it’s a bit different: he allegedly started a sexual relationship with an employee in the 2000s, which lasted for years. This came to light in 2019, and an investigation was launched. Before that investigation was completed, Gates himself stepped down. As you probably know, Bill and Melinda Gates announced that they are getting divorced after 27 years. I guess this is a case of to be continued.
Baby news
Good news for Merel Westrik and Bo Maerten: they have become parents. Daughter Billie Mae was born on April 30, and the new parents are doing well, Merel and Pepijn report. Bo Maerten gave birth to son Mosie, who was born on May 5.
Bella Hadid shows her support for Palestine.
Gigi and Bella have already been very vocal on Instagram about the serious situation in Palestine, and now Bella has also shown her support by participating in a demonstration in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Their father Mohamed Hadid is Palestinian, so it makes sense that the conflict with Israel weighs heavily on their hearts. But still, I think it's great to see Bella using her massive reach to highlight these issues and also to inform people about what's happening there. During the demonstration, she wore a keffiyeh, a traditional dress, and waved the Palestinian flag.
Máxima blows out fifty candles.
Monday may not be everyone's favorite day, but today is a bit special: our queen is celebrating her birthday. She turns fifty, and to celebrate that a bit with us, she gives an exclusive interview to Matthijs van Nieuwkerk, which will be broadcast tonight (at 8:30 PM on NPO1). She will talk openly about her life, her work, and love. A number of images have already been released, for example, one in which Máxima says that during corona she ‘traveled a bit too much’ and that she is happy that she doesn't have to do that as much now, especially since she has two children who are leaving home and she can now spend extra time with them. I will definitely be on the couch tonight.
