Oh boy: the divorce papers of Kim and Kanye have leaked

The divorce that everyone saw coming is final. Kimye is no more. In December, the persistent rumors reached a climax, as the usually reliable TMZ (known for closely working with the KarJenners, hence reliable) reported that the divorce of Kim and Kanye was inevitable. End of an era.  After that, it remained quite quiet around the divorce. Would they give it one last chance? No, they wouldn't. But since Kim and Kanye filed for divorce in California, those papers are now out in the open. Figuratively speaking; they can be found all over the internet.

Here's the thing: statements from judges, like in this case with divorces, are always publicly accessible in California. Just like arrests, which is why you find so many mugshots of celebrities online. And now the divorce papers of Kimye.

Fans find it a bit of an invasion of privacy, and I understand that, but that's just the law in California, so there's not much we can do about it. And now that we have them in hand, we naturally want to know what's in them, right?.

The reason for the divorce is stated as 'irreconcilable differences', which is almost always the case. More striking is that they are going for joint custody. I personally didn't see that coming; I thought Kim would go for full custody. But as it stands now, they will partly live with Kim in Calabasas and partly with Kanye in Wyoming. That's going to be quite a journey, as the two places are about 1700 kilometers apart.

Another notable point in the divorce papers is that they have no shared assets at all. That was still a juicy item in the gossip magazines: who would get the house? It seems that the land their house is on belongs to Kim, and the house itself belongs to Kanye. A tricky arrangement. But it also seems that Kim would prefer to stay there, but that's a bit complicated. Kanye can't live there either, as Kim won't allow it on her land. Are we still following? In any case, someone will have to leave, and there's a good chance that will become a bit of an issue.

Then the last notable point: Kim signed the papers with 'Kardashian West'. There's a good chance she will keep 'West' in her last name. Makes sense, given her beauty brand KKW.
