Research: men spend an average of 83 minutes a day in front of the mirror

If you think you're a vain person? Not at all. Men, they are the truly vain ones. At least, that's what a study shows.
And you might not believe it, but men spend an average of quite a long time looking at themselves in the mirror. Longer than women do, at least. A study by groominglounge.com among 400 men and women has shown that men need the most time in the bathroom: shaving their beard, styling their hair, trimming their eyebrows, and still plucking that nose hair. It's just a matter of what you want to do with your face, right. But you with your lick of mascara and your swipe of BB cream? You do it a lot faster. The majority of women take about 16 to 30 minutes to get ready in the morning. The majority of men, on the other hand, take an average of 31 to 45 minutes.
Another study even goes a step further: that study says that men spend an average of 83 minutes a day in the bathroom. Showering is included in that. Women are done with 79 minutes a day looking at themselves. Additionally, men nowadays spend almost the same amount on grooming products as women. Women spend 0.20 cents more per month than men spend on creams, skincare, gel, hairspray, and so on. We all seem to be looking more alike, then. We swipe on a bit of lip gloss at the door and run our hands through our hair, hop, and again. We don't have more time than that.
Well, it's not that bad: 71 percent of men take longer than 31 minutes in the morning, while that's only 63 percent for women. What exactly do they do? A lot of shaving, trimming, moisturizing, and singing a good song in front of the mirror, that kind of idea. We can only encourage it right? A well-groomed man is so 2022. From now on, you can easily win the argument: he really does spend longer in the bathroom than you, it's proven. And what exactly they do all those minutes... Joost knows.
