Part 2: burning calories without exercising

The ginger nuts are back on the shelves and this cold weather certainly doesn't help us stay motivated to exercise. In other words: it's time to work on our winter body. Of course, we don't want to completely neglect ourselves in the coming months, but luckily there are plenty of ways to burn calories without exercising. Here they come.
1. Shopping
This might just be the most fun way to stay fit. A day of shopping means not only cardio, but you're also training your upper body by carrying all those bags. Much more pleasant than a HIIT class, right? And you don't even realize you're working on your fitness.
2. Chewing gum
The great thing about chewing gum is that you can do it all day long. Of course, it's best to choose a sugar-free option. How much do you burn with it? If you chew gum for four hours a day, you burn about 308 calories per week, which is about 1232 per month and 14784 per year. And that without really having to put in any effort. Great, right?
3. Watching a horror movie
Lovely, just from the couch under your blanket. Research from the University of Westminster has shown that watching a scary movie (for 90 minutes) can help you burn up to 113 calories. That's about the same as a half-hour walk. Well, I know what I prefer to do as a horror fan.
4. Eating cayenne pepper
Unfortunately, this option is not for me, but spicy food lovers can definitely benefit from this. It has been scientifically proven that cayenne pepper can boost your metabolism, allowing you to burn more calories per day. It's a small effort to add some to your meal or cup of tea.
5. Drinking coffee
This is something that makes me happy again, as coffee is my absolute lifesaver. Studies have shown that caffeine can help increase the amount of calories we burn at rest. Lovely, right? And if you're not a fan of coffee? You can also go for a matcha latte.
6. Satisfyer Pro
Get that Satisfyer Pro out, because research shows that during an orgasm you can burn between 60 and 100 calories. This doesn't seem like the worst way to stay fit during the winter.
