The last lockdown I went into very relaxed and I am so happy about that now. Because I was able to enjoy one last evening (and morning) to the fullest. I was away for a night in Hotel Haarhuis in Arnhem and I can really recommend it to you wholeheartedly. It was really about twenty years ago that I was last in Arnhem, so that was definitely nice, although I must say that I saw little of the city. What I did see was the completely renovated restaurant in Hotel Haarhuis (and I really had an incredibly delicious lunch at restaurant LOCALS), the beautiful sauna with a view over the city, and the room including a bath en suite, of course.

Really, this was so nice to unwind. Ordering dinner in the room, a glass of red wine with it, and having a movie marathon from bed... I want to do it again, you understand that. Extra fun: next to the hotel is a really cute coffee shop (HOEK) where they make their own macarons that were waiting for me in the room. ‘Okay, just one to try’ and by the end of the evening they were all gone. I couldn't resist them, they were so delicious.

The next night is already planned, because I wanted to go back right away. I can't wait already. Am I going to see a bit more of Arnhem? I fear the worst, but I don't mind at all.
