Bizarre: Kanye West shows up wearing a White Lives Matter shirt

Another day, another Kanye drama. It was a bit quieter around the rapper, who now goes by Ye, but last night (American time) he pulled one of his strangest stunts yet. At number one on his list of strangest actions is still his statement about that ‘slavery is a choice’. No idea what possessed him then, just like the period when he was a fervent supporter of Donald Trump. Well, his morals and values may not have been quite what they used to be.
He has now been spotted wearing a shirt that says ‘White Lives Matter’ on the back. He wore this to his Yeezy fashion show, alongside Candace Owens, a woman with quite right-wing statements who has often spoken negatively about the Black Lives Matter movement. And not only that: she called Kanye's ex Kim Kardashian a prostitute. ‘I now believe that Kim Kardashian is a prostitute and I will not change this opinion. Kim Kardashian is a prostitute. Her mother is a pimp. Worse than a prostitute, Kim Kardashian is a corpse — she is a body without a soul.’ Oookay then. Why does Kanye West want to surround himself with someone like that? No idea.
And why do they wear these shirts? Again: no idea. Why wearing ‘White Lives Matter’ is problematic? This text was a reaction from people to Black Lives Matter. To be precise: from people who absolutely did not understand BLM and who thought that supporting BLM equated to the mindset that white lives don’t matter.
As is not entirely surprising, many people did not appreciate these texts. Guest Jaden Smith (son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith) even walked out of the room: ‘I don’t care who it is, if I don’t appreciate the message, I’m out.’ You’re absolutely right.
Has Kanye apologized or given a statement about this? Nope. He later posted on his Instagram: ‘Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter is a scam. Now it’s over. You’re welcome.’
Can someone really intervene when it comes to this man? Is he only surrounded by ‘yes people’ who just say ‘yes’ and ‘amen’ to everything he does? It’s really starting to take on creepy forms.

Kanye West's decision to wear a “White Lives Matter” shirt is disgusting, dangerous, and irresponsible. Some of y’all will rush to defend him. You should ask yourselves why… pic.twitter.com/YT4a6c9tKI

So many folks are trying to excuse Kanye wearing a white lives matter t-shirt as just a troll move or marketing. Maybe it is. But it’s a dangerously dumb message to send for someone with his massive platform. I been off dude. But y’all go ahead labeling his foolishness as genius.

Kanye west making Black models wear “white lives matter” shirts is a culmination of his anti-blackness and his immersion in white supremacy ideologies and methods. Disgusting pic.twitter.com/yIaVKPYEBB

So the guy who thought slavery was a choice & the woman who said slave owners deserve reparations more than the slaves, wore matching White Lives Matter sweatshirts.
Color me surprised… 🤦♂️
