Kourtney Kardashian tells: ‘because of this I'm not as close to my sisters anymore’

In the meantime, they have grown into one of the most famous families in the world over the past few years. I would bet money that my 91-year-old grandmother knows who Kim Kardashian is by now. And even though they were seen as D-list celebrities at first, nowadays they are even style icons, and Kim has managed to get her hands on the dress of Marilyn Monroe for the Met Gala. Yep, we really can't ignore the Kardashian family anymore. Although behind the scenes, they are not as much of a front as they used to be. The oldest of the family, Kourtney, is now opening up about this in Amanda Hirsch's podcast, Not Skinny But Not Fat.

She asked her if it's true that she is not as close with her sisters as before, because it certainly seems that way. Well, that is completely true. According to Kourtney, that distance arose when Khloé became pregnant with her daughter True and Kim simultaneously had a baby (Chicago) via a surrogate mother.

‘I feel like those two found each other so much during that time because they were going through the same things at the same time. And that is also the moment when I was no longer happy with our show, partly because they were constantly pushing me. It was as if everything Khloé and I did towards Kim was turned around and as if I was the villain.’

In that season, there was indeed a lot of fighting, which even led to a fight between Kourtney and Kim: ‘It was the daily grind combined with the anger I had inside me that led me to scratch her during our fight. I probably had a blackout. It was quite a lot, it was a very intense time.’

And that is the moment when Kourtney distanced herself more from her sisters. Since then, she enjoys her free time without family much more: ‘I think some of us have more of a need to take distance and just do our own thing and have our own things. I love being in my own little bubble and, as they say, protecting my energy. I just enjoy being in my own world and returning to it whenever I want.’

Is it just fighting between the three sisters now? No, she continues: ‘I feel like Khloé and I are okay. I spoke to her often when she was in Milan. We Facetimed a lot, we Facetimed again this morning on the way to school, and I also saw her this morning at school. We are okay. I just think life is different now, I see life very differently now.’
