Locals Arnhem food plates location

Yesss: the hospitality industry is OPEN again. My goodness, I missed this so much. And I must say: I took full advantage of it, from Amsterdam to Putten with a trip to Arnhem. And I want to talk about that last one, because I have — if I may say so myself — a really nice tip for it. I had previously stayed at Hotel Haarhuis, something that I really liked, but the associated restaurant is also open again. And how.

Restaurant LOCALS has already undergone a significant transformation during corona (as in: a brand new concept was introduced) and was briefly open until the last lockdown was reinstated. But now you can go there again and believe me: you want to.

Just the interior alone I find really cool, I love round tables with a booth. It’s just so much cozier, whether you’re sitting with two or with a group. Besides the interior, I’m also a big fan of the concept; they cook with local products as much as possible at a high level. And you can't get more local than this, because two floors above LOCALS you can walk past the large greenhouses (which you can also see from outside in the windows).

And that high level, that was definitely there. A big plus: the vegetarian options are truly recommended. For me personally, an even bigger plus: the homemade sandwiches with Beurre de Paris and herb oil. Seriously: divine. I’m a bread lover and was momentarily in seventh heaven.

So here’s my top weekend tip: book a table at LOCALS. You won’t regret it.
