Can men orgasm without ejaculation?

woman and man kissing

We women can fake it in bed, but men can do that too. A little ooh and ah and boom, he says he's done.

You quickly go to the bathroom and feel your punani: no little squirt. Nowhere to be found either. Did he really finish or is that jerk just lying to you? Can men finish without ejaculation ?

We dove into the biology books for this pressing question. It's handy to know, because this way you might just accept that you don't always see or feel a blob of sperm. Because it's a fact: a man can indeed finish without ejaculating. In the medical world, this is called anejaculation. It's also simply referred to as ‘dry’ orgasm.

How does it happen (or not happen, then)? The reason why some men have this? They have too much stress and worries and can't fully let go in bed. Quite sad, really. And it has nothing to do with you. It can also happen if you have sex too often or if your man is also too often pleasuring himself: then the sperm is literally ‘out’. But diabetes, pelvic floor muscle problems, cancer, abdominal surgeries, high blood pressure, heart diseases, and medication can also be the reason behind a dry orgasm.

Now it is the case that if your man always finishes with a squirt and then suddenly doesn't, it might be that he hasn't really reached a climax. No big deal: talk about it at a good moment and just try again a week later. You'll see that usually, nothing is wrong and you both can really reach a climax. And sex without ejaculation can still mean good sex, right?
