These are the new participants of The Bachelor
Just two more weeks and then we can start again: The Bachelor starts with Thomas van der Vlugt. If anyone is interested in setting up a bet beforehand on whether he is still together with the eventual winner or not, please let me know. It should happen once that real love comes out of it, right? So far, it has proven unsuccessful, with Gaby Blaaser and Tony Junior. But who knows, maybe this season will be different. We can at least start speculating, as the participants have now been announced. A little introduction round? Sure.
Side note: I find it quite funny that RTL also mentions the Instagram handle of the ladies in the introduction round; could they be somewhat accepting that those followers count for their participation? Or is that my skepticism? Anyway, here they are: the ladies who will try to win Thomas's heart.
Daniek (24), stylist
Calls herself an eccentric thrill-seeker; she loves off-piste snowboarding, rafting, and mountain climbing. In that regard, it fits well with Thomas, who also does crazy things in his YouTube videos.
Demi (26), hairdresser
Sees herself as impulsive, tough, and absolutely not a girly girl. Opens up quickly to others; oh god, don’t let this Bachelor break your heart too quickly.
Diandra (27)
Doesn’t worry about what others think of her, is confident, and has a positive outlook on life. Describes herself as someone who is always there for her friends and family.
Faith (22)
Still lives with her parents and says she won’t move out until she has found the one. She doesn’t like taking risks; the adventurous side of Thomas is not for her.
Frederique (26), data analyst
Frederique used to be a top athlete, so she doesn’t shy away from challenges. She is a data analyst at a large bank but is completely ready for a new adventure.
Indigo (21), student/hostess/marketer
Originally from Friesland, but has been living in Amsterdam for a while now. She describes herself as an adventurous type.
Inge (30), manager
Inge lives in Amsterdam and is a social, vibrant, and entrepreneurial type. After studying law, she has developed into a career tiger. Sounds like someone who is daring enough for a guy like Thomas.
Linde (24), hospitality worker
Linde used to work in healthcare and wants to pick that up again later, but in the meantime, she is doing just fine in hospitality. According to her, she goes all-in once she falls in love.
Lysette (25), teacher
Is about to make the move from Dokkum to Amsterdam: she is ready for city life. Over the past few years, she has worked a lot on her personal growth and now she is completely ready to shine.
Maureen (22), student
Maureen lived in Australia for a while but is now back in Amsterdam. In terms of wanderlust, Thomas and she can definitely shake hands.
Merel (26), dental student
Almost graduated as a dentist: Merel is ambitious and has a lot of self-deprecation. She also plays hockey and loves parties and drinks.
Michelle (24), car and caravan dealer
Not a profession you hear often: nice. Michelle is from Oldenzaal and holds her own in this industry, which is still quite male-dominated.
Patricia (23), team leader animation team and eyelash stylist
Describes herself as carefree, always cheerful, and impulsive. Well, that should work out well there in Mexico.
Romy (27), Radio DJ
Romy is a free spirit with quite a bit of life experience and is really looking forward to this romantic adventure. Sounds promising.
Yaël (29), freelancer
After studying psychology, she works with autistic children and vulnerable youth, and she also runs a webshop with her sister. She sees herself as an emotional person with temperament.
Can we make some predictions already? Actually not, but I’m going to do it anyway. I think the winner will be Indigo, Romy, or Yaël. Very curious what you all think: who do you see as the winner among these sixteen ladies?
