New streaming service SkyShowtime: worth recommending?

There’s a new kid in the land of streaming services. You probably had the same reaction as I did, namely: ‘Another one?’ I thought we were quite saturated when it comes to these kinds of services, but well, in the meantime, I also have all sorts of memberships with them, which I blame my FOMO on. The result is of course a huge case of choice stress, because I can watch Harry Potter on Disney+, but I can also do Black Mirror on Netflix or The Boys on Amazon Prime and then also Special Forces VIPS and Expedition on Videoland. I’m quite busy with it. And I haven’t even mentioned Hayu yet, because of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and HBO Max for… Yes, for what actually?
Busy enough, I thought, but I couldn’t resist the temptation. When SkyShowtime was launched, I immediately took out a subscription because I wanted to know what the offering was like there. Last night, I settled in, horizontally on the couch, ready to not get up again that evening, ready for a night of SkyShowtime.
Well, that worked out. Hoooly shit (pardon my French), what a delightful offering. My eye immediately fell on my all-time favorite series: Frasier. They have all eleven seasons, which I used to have to stream via sketchy websites, but also series like Californication, 1883 (which I got as a recommendation), Bates Motel, Geordie Shore, and Ex On The Beach. Plenty of guilty pleasures and actually good series.
And what about the movie selection? Tonight, I have a Back To The Future marathon planned, because all three are available. They have classics like Beethoven (all parts), The Fast and the Furious (again: all parts), E.T., and Gladiator, but also many documentaries and new films.
Yep, as far as I’m concerned, this is a keeper, but I do have to cancel a few streaming services. However, this one will not be one of them.
