Saturn Sulfur Spot Treatment Mask, €20,- Sunday Riley
You might not be able to imagine it now, but around my thirteenth I had a very impure skin full of oily bumps and impurities, also known as acne. At the beginning of my pregnancy, my skin was like it was back then, but that has (thankfully) disappeared again just like in my teenage years. If I have a pimple, it often can only mean one thing: hormones. Okay, okay, sometimes chocolate too, but not very often. I now treat such a pimple with a Spot Treatment from Sunday Riley. Confession time: I used to use toothpaste for this, but in hindsight, that only caused more misery. Several skin experts have pointed this out to me, so if you do this too: stop immediately. This treatment is a mask that you apply locally on clean skin, leave it on for twenty minutes, and then rinse off. You can repeat this two or three times a week if it doesn't get any better. So it's not gone right away, but every day it is a little less intense and less red, even after applying the treatment just once. Ingredients like tea tree and manuka oils ensure that your skin doesn't clog, niacinamide with vitamin B3 makes your skin more even, and the thick substance comes from bentonite, a volcanic clay that cleanses the pores and absorbs dirt and oil. This works perfectly for me and is the solution for that occasional pimple. Squeezing it and getting small scars becomes impossible, as it doesn't even come to a white head. Ideal, then.
