Who would have thought pre-corona that you could become a millionaire by posting dance videos online? And not even bizarre breakdance moves, no, just basic dance steps. Well, I still find TikTok a fascinating app but I am also addicted. Yep, I am on TikTok too, although I'm not really active with posting. Just as fascinating I find the TikTok algorithm, because I don't understand anything about it; I posted a video without thinking about it and suddenly 3.3 million views. Whut? Why? Where do they come from?
Then I started to look into it: do I get anything for all those views? Well, no. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way in the Netherlands, but in countries like the United States, India, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Australia it does: there you get paid per view, in addition to any collaborations you might have.
