The Traitors: Discussing episode 4

the traitors players

Just had a week of rest, because yes: Easter had to be celebrated and that was of course worth an extra long weekend. In my case, that was unfortunately replaced by a week sick in bed, so that's why I personally skipped a week. In fact, I just rewatched the previous episode because I registered exactly nothing in my fever delirium. And it was quite enjoyable. Just as fun as this episode? We shall seeee.

1. So brilliant that still literally no one suspects Jamie. I'm curious how long he can keep up this innocent little game.

2. Additionally, I hope Sylvia stays in as long as possible because it's so enjoyable to see how much she thinks she has everything and everyone figured out – and is therefore completely off.

3. Esmee: ‘I didn't even pay attention to Sylvia. Silly goose.’
Also Esmee: *is wearing a ~silly goose~*

4. Loofff it really how much Jamie enjoys the killing. He prefers to take more than one per night. Way too fun.

5. That Tall Frank could become dangerous for our Three Traitor Musketeers.

6. Honestly: Esmee has felt like the ~main character~ of The Traitors for four episodes now. The big mastermind who has it all figured out. That's why she's putting spy Babette in today, because she needs to keep a low profile. Our capo di tutti capi.

7. Yaaa, there goes Robbie's head on the chopping block. Within a minute, the whole group is convinced. It can be that easy.

8. HAHAHA. Those Stefano and Frank. Come. Not. More. Starting with good spirits and then falling at that first hill.

9. Wow, but seriously: those things go fast. No way you should trust me behind the wheel of one of those things. I would have already flipped over before that first Evenblij hill.

10. Well Esmee, it's a good thing you ultimately went for actress and not Formula 1 driver, because that choice would have proven to be a lot less successful, I fear.

11. That shot where they are dramatically squatting in front of the broken fence with dramatic mourning music underneath is a bit over the top. Relax, no man overboard.

12. Could it also just be that the bottom left was the hardest angle? Quite coincidental that the only three that weren't hit are all hanging next to each other. Or is that thinking too logically and is the whole group now completely entangled in all theories? I actually guess the latter.

13. Irene: ‘It was as if they totally didn't find what I hadn't done all day interesting.’ Dear Irene, you just said that you really haven't accomplished this little in thirty years. Can you blame them?

14. Sylvia could fit right into an Agatha Christie film. Looove the look.

15. ...But why does Stefano dress as if he's in the Wild Wild West? Is it actually a costume party or something?

16. The pride of Esmee who still thinks she has solved the whole game and literally hasn't got one Traitor right. That's really delightful for the viewers to see, right?

17. Looking forward to this round table, because really everyone can be eliminated. Toine, Robbie, Irene... Maybe there will be another catfight. I don't think Babette and Irene have been confrontational enough today.

18. As long as Tall Frank stays in, I think it's all fine, because he makes the show a lot more enjoyable.

19. Esmee doesn't want to talk to anyone because she's ‘f*cking pissed’, because no one wants to vote with her for one of her Traitors-who-aren't-three. Oooh, I really want to see her face when she finds out she didn't get anyone right. She can probably laugh about it herself.

20. Naaah, but these three Traitors are just unbeatable. Everyone trusts Jamie. How Stefano talks everyone under the table; again with his Frank Evenblij example with Sylvia. They will never catch those three.

21. Okay, I guess Dionne is going out. They keep Esmee in because she doesn't suspect them anyway, and Dionne doesn't cause any damage. The group is already eliminating each other anyway, they don't even need the Traitors for that.

22. Every week it frustrates me so much that we just get zero previews. Aaaargh. Counting down again.
