Why everyone is talking about White Lotus now

Suddenly, there's no escaping it and I see this series literally everywhere: White Lotus. And the funny thing is that this is only happening now, during the second season. The first season went by me quite silently, and because season 2 was suddenly so much discussed, I had to give in as well. A new addiction in terms of series is exactly what I needed.

What is White Lotus about? It follows the lives of employees and guests staying for a week at a tropical resort. That really appealed to me, as it is currently below freezing and I could use some distraction.

And then I saw the cast and I was completely sold: Jennifer Coolidge, Aubrey Plaza, Haley Lu Richardson, and Meghan Fahy. That all sounds incredibly good, so I settled on the couch and got ready for a night of Netflix.

And to be honest? I didn't quite get through the first season, so I actually stopped watching it. But because everyone was so enthusiastic, I didn't give up, but just started the second season and I can tell you: best decision ever. You can watch the seasons separately because the storylines are well concluded in one season and there are few cast members appearing in both seasons.

Is White Lotus worth the hype? Definitely. But only the second season.
