Who hasn't grown up with Beugelbekkie? I used to watch this for hours, I found it so fun. If you happen to miss it; there are many full episodes available on YouTube in Dutch. Ideal for when you're feeling nostalgic. By the way, I only found out today that the name of the main character, Sharon Spitz, has a double meaning: in English, it sounds exactly like ‘sharing spits’, or exchanging saliva. Am I the only one who didn't know this at all, or is this just a case of me being a bit slow?

Anyway, not all countries are equally charmed by our Sharon. There is one episode that is banned in many countries, such as the United States. And that is the sixth episode of the third season, in Dutch called: ‘Borsten’.

In this episode, Sharon feels insecure because she is perceived as so young, and she thinks it's because she doesn't have breasts yet. Meanwhile, she sees all the girls around her who are more developed, even though they are younger than Sharon. The boys also seem to find those girls more interesting.

That's why Sharon decides to buy the C3000 enlarger: an inflatable bra. That can't go wrong, of course, so Sharon goes to a party with her new bra and a sexy black dress (the same one her arch-rival Nina has) and feels like the queen.

But then the bra malfunctions and keeps inflating. The result: one breast explodes and Sharon ends up looking quite foolish. This entire plotline doesn't sit well in other countries. It's somewhat logical, because the message that you only count if you have big breasts is perhaps not what you want to convey to teenagers.

But: it's still available on YouTube, because in the Netherlands, this episode is still allowed to be seen.
