Hailey Bieber talks about the feud with Selena Gomez

It's a bit of a never-ending story: the alleged feud between Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez. It supposedly started because of Justin Bieber: he was on and off with Selena for years, and then suddenly married Hailey within six months — with whom he is still together. The Biebs has not said a word about this all this time, but the ladies just can't seem to shake this feud. Selena urged her fans to stop sending death threats to Hailey (crazy that it goes that far), they even follow each other on Instagram now, but it still often comes up in interviews.

So also yesterday, during an interview with Hailey that went online. And notably, she admits that it will probably never stop, all the rumors about how much the two supposedly hate each other. According to Hailey, this is because this whole story is no longer about them, but about women in general.

‘This is not about two women inciting each other,’ she says. ‘It’s about the nasty, disgusting hatred that can arise from completely fabricated and twisted stories. That can really be very dangerous.’

In addition, she calls it a ‘frustrating and cliché idea’ that two women would hate each other because of a man. ‘It's so disappointing that people still behave this way because of a man. Unfortunately, that's the world we live in now.’

And how is it going with her and Selena now? She has something to say about that too. ‘I don't know why I have to keep repeating, and she does too, that there is no problem and that we have no issues.’
