Just about the phenomenon of unsubscribing

My inbox is so full of newsletters that actually all business takes place via WhatsApp. With every purchase you make, you are asked for your email address, resulting in the brand bombarding you, with the consequence that if there is ever an important email in my digital mailbox, I can easily overlook it. That needs to change, so I have started unsubscribing. Every sender of a newsletter is required to clearly indicate under each message where you can state that you no longer wish to receive information.
That seems easy, but it is not. Because when you click ‘unsubscribe’, you end up on a page where you have to click again. That seems simple. But then… Then you receive an email from the same organization to inform you that the unsubscribing has been successful. But it is not that easy. Then they start asking what the reason is that you no longer want to receive anything. And whether you might want to receive nothing for a while. Or whether you might want to apply filters to the offerings. And that if you really want to unsubscribe, you need to contact them. Only there is no clear box below that you need to click on. And then I think: never mind. Deleting an email is faster.
I will also take a look at our own newsletter. Although I hope you still want to receive it, of course.
