Let's talk about And Just Like That again
Episode 3 is okay again!

After the huge disappointment of episodes 1 and 2 that HBO served up two weeks ago (yes, they were even worse than the second movie and, it's almost impressive to say, even stiffer and lamer than the first episodes of season 1), I tried it again on Friday. Episode 3. After all, they are your friends. You don't just dump them after three boring evenings, do you?
And actually, the same thing happened here as with the first season of And Just Like That. The characters moved away from their cardboard version, gained depth. I suddenly found Miranda navigating between sweet and pathetic (especially the scene where she wants to get a tattoo to no longer feel like a robot while she has actually already thrown all her individuality into the ditch to please the it’s-all-about-me-Che), Carrie was again rare Carrie trying to make jokes while struggling through a voice recording session in which she reads the chapter from her book where Big dies, and Charlotte is just delightful Charlotte with her excitement about the milf list circulating at school.
A new group of friends is forming that may resemble those in real life, where friends of one, Dr. Nya for example, also connect with others, like Lisa Todd Wexley, and while it certainly doesn't make up for the absence of Samantha, it does help. It helps.
On Thursday, I'm ready again and I'll jump right on your shoulder when I spot Samantha oup, you know.
PS. And did you already know that just the salon of our Dutch Rob Peetoom is in And Just Like That?
