That people can still be surprised by the Kardashians' use of Photoshop surprises me. By now, it is quite clear that you should take all their beautiful photos on Instagram with a grain of salt, right? Apparently not, although I must say that the Instagram vs. reality situation is particularly striking this time.

Kim Kardashian was present at the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show and posted several photos of it on her own Instagram. And as we are used to from Kim, she looked stunning again. However, she was not the only one present at that event, which would be a bit lonely. A number of Kim's friends were there, and of course several models, such as the German model Leonie Hanne, who took a photo with Kim and posted that photo on her Instagram account.

Yes, you don't have to be an expert to conclude that Kim's photo has gone through a filter or eight. We know that by now, but what the internet finds particularly annoying is that Kim has made herself look much younger. The comments under Leonie's photo are not mild: ‘I don't recognize her’, ‘omg finally a photo of Kim without Photoshop and edits, she looks so old’ and: ‘Kim looks like Donatella Versace.’ The keyboard warriors have certainly been busy again.

Personally, I find her particularly beautiful in both photos, although she looks much more authentic in the photo with Leonie. And I find that beautiful to see. Kim is 42; I would sign up to look like that.
