Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are going to make a film for Netflix

The collaboration between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with Spotify did not have a happy ending as it has been suspended; the streaming service was reportedly not satisfied with what the couple delivered. Another streaming service, Netflix, is currently satisfied with the collaboration. They have even given the former royal couple the green light to make their own film.
It will be an adaptation of the bestseller Meet Me At The Lake, by author Carley Fortune. Notably, this book has many comparisons to the lives of Meghan and Harry, so it is likely that this book was chosen for that reason.
Meet Me At The Lake is about two people who meet each other just when they need each other the most. One is still struggling with the loss of a parent who died in a car accident, but the book also pays a lot of attention to postpartum depression, something Meghan has also been open about. Additionally, it all takes place in the Canadian city of Toronto, where Meghan lived when she met Harry.
A Netflix film that personally reminds me a lot of a The Notebook-like atmosphere or other books/adaptations by Nicholas Sparks. Very sweet, and if they do it well, absolutely one where you won't stay dry. Unfortunately, the chance is very small that Meghan, despite her acting experience, will play a role. But we can keep hoping…
