Netflix opens its own restaurants in 2025

Eating in the theme of your favorite show? For example, Pop's Diner from Riverdale, surrounded by sex therapists à la Sex Education or like a royal just like in The Crown? Starting in 2025, that might just become a reality, as Netflix plans to open so-called brick-and-mortar locations that year. These are actually always a kind of showrooms, but Netflix will approach it very differently: in their Netflix House (that's what it will be called), you can go for merchandise, themed restaurants, and live entertainment.
Netflix has done pop-ups before, for example with Squid Game: all over the world (for us it was in Rotterdam, for example) people were reenacting the games, and I dare bet a lot of money that the Dalgona cookies will also be for sale in Netflix House.
These new locations will, unlike previous projects, not be pop-ups; Netflix's plan is to really establish permanent locations where fans of shows can always go. Essentially, it's a kind of miniature version of what Disney does with Disneyland. Ooh, will we eventually also get a Netflix amusement park? That would be really awesome.
According to TV critics, that will be difficult. Why? Because all Disney amusement parks are gi-gantic expensive. That was the cost to create, and also to maintain. Money that Netflix, according to experts, probably does not have. Therefore, starting small with a number of Netflix Houses for now is the most sensible option, there is just one catch.
For us then: for now, it is only known that Netflix House will have locations in the United States. Fingers crossed that Europe will be next.
