Is it already the weekend? Because I am ready for that Friday afternoon drink, as I just found out that Hendrick’s Gin is coming out with a new flavor. Correction: a limited edition new flavor. Temporarily, so that always gives me a bit of FOMO, so I have to try it out.
This new flavor is called Flora Adora and the name says it all a bit: it is indeed wonderfully floral and inspired by spring, the flowers and the bees, and everything that comes with it. The scent will mainly remind you of a flower garden, but the taste is refreshingly old-fashioned, which is what I expect from Hendrick’s Gin.
This variant is also very good to mix as a gin and tonic with a few slices of cucumber. Or, if you really want to create a top-notch drink: Hendrick’s Gin has shared the recipe for the Wildgarden Cup: a cocktail with this new Flora Adora with soda water instead of tonic. Also good for the calories. I’m sold.
Here’s how to make the Wildgarden Cup
- 50 ml Hendrick’s FLORA ADORA
- 25 ml lemon juice
- 25 ml sugar syrup
- 3 cucumber slices
- 6 mint leaves
- 4 raspberries
- soda water
