Stop. The. Presses. During the VMAs, we were already treated to a reunion of *NSYNC, it turns out that is just the beginning of very nice things. Because to be honest: I was a bit disappointed that they only came to present an award and didn't sing a single note together. Still a missed opportunity, because why is there so much going on around that reunion?

Now it turns out that their gathering at the VMAs was just the tip of the iceberg. The Instagram account DeuxMoi is now full of it: *NSYNC would go on tour again, they would release new songs... However, she also found out that only Justin Timberlake would be doing that tour and that there is no new music coming. Quite conflicting reports, but there is one persistent rumor that they keep sharing.

And that is that *NSYNC will do the halftime show of the Super Bowl. That alone would be insane, but it gets even better: several boy bands would make an appearance. Yes, and then my inner Backstreet Boys fan girl comes out again, because I know for sure this is about the BSB. I can feel it in everything.

Okay, and I also have some proof for that. The two boy bands have actually been spotted together more often last year, and Lance Bass even told E! News that they might want to tour together. So there is definitely no hate or jealousy between these two groups, although we already knew that: that same Lance Bass posted a TikTok a while ago with Nick Carter and AJ McLean where they are dancing to Bye, Bye, Bye. Yep, this is the crossover we never knew we needed. Oh, who are we kidding? We've been waiting for this for years.

Now I know that you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, but is it too much to ask if One Direction is also one of the boy bands that will join them during the Super Bowl? I fear that will be the day the internet officially breaks, but hey, we can keep dreaming.
