This is how you order makeup from Sephora to the Netherlands

Fenty, Rare Beauty, Milk, Saie: all brands that make my makeup heart beat faster, but which are, to my great disappointment, hardly to be found on the Dutch shelves. You can understand why I was so so so happy with the news that Sephora would make a comeback in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, we still have to wait a bit for that so-called return, if it ever comes at all. My wishlist is still waiting for my debit card and that Rare Beauty blush unfortunately won't come by itself. But to specifically board the Thalys for Sephora is a bit much for me, so I will just have it delivered at home from now on. Yes, you read that right: you can have Sephora delivered right to your door, as long as you use the right settings on the site. Let me explain.

This is how you order from Sephora:

• Go to the French Sephora website.
• Do yourself a favor and translate the page to Dutch via your own browser.
• Create an account (if you don't have one yet) and log in.
• Then fill your entire basket with all the must-haves.
• Go to your shopping cart and click on ‘validate my shopping cart’.
• Very important, and what many people forget: select ‘Pays-Bas’ under the 'country of delivery' section. That is the Netherlands in French.
• Then click on ‘home delivery’. The shipping costs are €5.95 and the delivery time is on average about 3 to 5 working days.
• Enter all your details. Note that for the postcode you need to type the first four digits, then use a space and then the remaining two letters. Sticking them together doesn't work.
• Time to pay. Unfortunately, you cannot pay with iDeal or Klarna, PayPal or Credit Card is the only way to go.
• That's it. Your order is on its wayyy.
• Good to know: if you place an order via your iPhone, you can pay with Apple Pay.
