People who listen to Taylor Swift are smarter

By

I have known this for a long time, because I have been a fan since 2008. That was the year in which Taylor Swift the song Love Story was released and my eighteen-year-old self thought that was insane. A new Swiftie was born that year, and apparently that says a lot about me. For example, that I am an incredibly intelligent girl.

And according to College Rover, an American site used by prospective students to see which subjects match them, that is quite plausible. What did that site reveal? The students with the highest grades, the Ivy League students, all had something in common. Yep, you guessed it: they were all Swifties.

Taylor Swift was actually the absolute number one artist that these example students listened to, followed by The Weeknd. To be honest, I didn't see that coming. Not that The Weeknd only has listeners who are not intelligent, but I just didn't realize that he is still very popular. But apparently he is, especially in Ivy League circles.

The top three was rounded off by SZA, and Harry Styles just missed the cut; he is in fourth place.

The next time someone mocks my taste in music or doesn't take me seriously as a Swiftie, I will know better. I am just a genius, let me enjoy All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) on repeat.
