The 5 most popular ski resorts according to TikTok and Insta

The white winter season has kicked off tremendously and your Insta and TikTok feeds are serving one ski photo after another. Since our social media are a good indicator of where it's nice to be in the snow, Bonus Insider made an overview of which ski resorts were tagged the most. We can reasonably assume that these are the most beloved places to swoosh down the mountains and wave schnaps. If it's good enough for our Insta princesses, then I think we'll have fun there too.
1. Courchevel, France
According to Vivian Hoorn whom I spoke to recently and who just skied down the 150 kilometers of slopes with a CHANEL bag (“What's the worst that can happen, that it gets wet? Well, it gets wet in the Netherlands too”) it's a big party there. Pizza with truffle for €80: bring it on. Courchevel was tagged 53.8 million times on TikTok and 523,434 million times on Insta. A day of skiing costs 35 euros and for that, you can use 58 lifts and 150 kilometers of slopes.
2. Lake Louise, Canada
You would think that Lake Louise, with its 11 lifts, is much smaller than Courchevel, but it still offers a ski area of 130 kilometers. The slopes are therefore nice and long. A day pass costs €95. The ski area is said to be very attractive for beginner skiers and families. Lake Louise was tagged 362.7 million times on TikTok and 177,542 times on Insta; that's quite a lot.
3. Zermatt, Switzerland
One reason for the popularity of Zermatt is that it is so high that you can ski there all year round. This leads to a volcano of tags on Tik and Insta: 268.2 million times on TikTok and 1.219 million times on Instagram. You do have to flip your wallet because for a day of skiing you pay €106.83. For that, you can use 51 lifts and rapapa: 322 kilometers of slopes. Hooray.
4. Ski Dubai, Dubai
This goes quite against my love for the earth, because building a ski slope in a desert, really... We will never meet those climate goals this way. But it's not about my opinion right now, I'm just telling which slopes have been mentioned the most on social media. Since most influencers are not allergic to a splash of luxury and excess, Ski Dubai is of course the place where it happens for them. You don't have to go there for skiing: three lifts and 1.5 kilometers of slope is what you find there and you pay €54 per day for that.
5. Avoriaz, France
The nice thing about Avoriaz is that with a few lifts you are in Switzerland. Or you go further to Châtel or Morzine, it’s all possible. It has 35 lifts and a modest ski area of 75 kilometers. It's nice that many blue slopes start from the village, so ideal if you're going with young children. Avoriaz was mentioned 154.4 million times on TikTok and even 287,840 times on Instagram.
