With this delicious orzo recipe, you'll be ready in twenty minutes

Come eat with me and there's a good chance orzo will be on the table. It's easy, quick, and — here's the biggest advantage — little washing up. Now, there is one particular orzo recipe that I have not received a negative reaction to to this day. At least, my guests served themselves twice, so it must be good. Curious what I'm talking about? Creamy orzo with asparagus and shrimp. Even if you're not a star chef; anyone can do this. Give it a try, I would say.
Ingredients (for 4 people):
500 grams of peeled shrimp or prawns
2 onions
3 cloves of garlic
300 grams of green asparagus
200 grams of orzo
700 ml vegetable broth
200 ml cooking cream
2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese (always more is allowed)
Olive oil, butter, pepper, and salt
And here's how you make it:
1. Heat some olive oil in the pan and cook the shrimp until done. Season them with some pepper and salt and add a knob of butter if desired.
2. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set them aside.
3. Add more olive oil to the same pan and sauté the onion and garlic.
4. Add the asparagus (without the ends) and sauté them as well.
5. Then add the orzo and sauté this for a bit too.
6. Pour in the broth and cooking cream, mix it through and bring it to a boil. Keep the lid on for five minutes.
7. Stir occasionally, otherwise the orzo will stick to the bottom.
8. Remove the lid and let it simmer for an extra five minutes until most of the moisture is gone.
9. Mix the shrimp and Parmesan cheese through the orzo.
10. Divide it over two plates. And for those who love it: add some extra cheese.
