Reminder: And Just Like That is now online

By
and just like that

Forget that summer has started, that it's mega nice weather outside, because inside is where you want to be. Well, And Just Like That is now online since today and I'm way too curious to postpone that. It's just the first two episodes we can see now, so I would say: turn on the air conditioning and let's go. My Friday afternoon drink will be enjoyed in front of the TV today.

To be honest: I wasn't that enthusiastic about And Just Like That at first. I actually found the first season quite mediocre, and our May thought exactly the same about it. The reviews weren't great, and rightly so: it just wasn't that good. But this season is completely different.

For example, Kim Cattrall will be seen again (even if just for a moment) as Samantha. Of course, we would have preferred to see her as a regular face, but this is better than nothing. But perhaps even more importantly: the stories so far are really positive.

For example this review from the Parool, in which the second season is called ‘a breath of fresh air’. While the first season wasn't received very well, mainly due to the many storylines that weren't really well developed but seemed to be added to keep it ‘woke’ in 2020, this second season seems to be much more balanced. For example, a Miranda who has to confront her problematic drinking; something many people deal with, even at a later age.

And what I'm especially looking forward to is that the MET Gala gets a ‘role’ in this new season. I mean: the fashion of Sex and the City combined with the insane MET Gala looks? Eh, yes please. Delicious that it's back, even if it's without Samantha.

The first two episodes are now online and the next nine episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays.
