The countdown to rain, wind, and a winter dip has begun. Personally, I can't name much positive about autumn. The only thing that excites me are the autumn trends that come back every year. Your hair gets a shade darker, clothing can be in multiple layers, and makeup can just be a bit ‘more’. The hair trends we have already discussed, so now it's time for makeup. Don't be shocked: this year ‘more is more’ is the theme.

Latte makeup
Despite the fact that we used to prefer black on our eyes, this autumn it changes to brown. So expect a lot of mocha, caramel, and cinnamon shades. Whether it's on the lashes, eyelids, or as eyeliner: brown is the new black.

Metallic touch
Yes, yes, a bit of glitter can come into play again. Light up the inner corner of your eyelids with it or use a metallic liner for some extra spice to your smokey eye look. The choice is yours.

Colored lashes
In addition to metallic eyeshadow, colored mascara is also making its long-awaited comeback. In the spirit of ‘more is more’, that blue mascara can come back, even if you have brown eyes. We call that color blocking.

Ombre lips
It was already a trend and it looks like we can enjoy it a bit longer: the 90s lips. Outline your lips with a dark lip liner, then use a lighter lipstick for the middle, slap on some lip gloss, and voilà: they immediately look a lot fuller.

Blush draping
Blush on the apples of your cheeks? Pfff... That's long gone. By applying blush higher on your cheekbones, you get a lifting effect, which actually just gives you a free facelift. A case of ‘want to try’.

Goth glam
Grab your eyeliner: it can be extra thick this autumn. Add a set of false lashes and you've got the goth glam look down, for sure. In this trend, easy application for maximum effect is central, so those two lines don't even have to be symmetrical.

Soft brows
Finally, the eyebrows can return to their natural habitat. No more soap brows or skinny 90s look; the natural (well-groomed) brows are just fine as they are this time. Saves you some time in front of the mirror in the morning.
