The Victoria's Secret fashion show is coming back

After four years of absence, we can soon enjoy perhaps the most spectacular fashion show there is: Victoria’s Secret. The past four years have not been the easiest for the lingerie brand, as it has been under considerable fire. The former CEO of the company was quite close with Jeffrey Epstein, and the brand also seemed not to really keep up with the times. The models all had to be extremely thin (but preferably with ample breasts and/or buttocks), which is quite an impossible beauty ideal.

All these things, and more, were extensively covered in the documentary The Rise and Fall of Victoria’s Secret, which can be seen on Videoland. After all the criticism, it was decided that the brand would stay out of the spotlight for a while, and it was also decided that the annual fashion show would not return.

Behind the scenes, however, they have apparently been busy with a rebranding, which also includes a new fashion show. The old format will therefore not return, but the new show would fit more with the ‘woke’ culture,’ according to Timothy Johnson, the current CFO.

But don't celebrate too soon: there won't be a fashion show this year. They are still busy with this rebranding and according to Johnson, we will hear more about it later this year, including how Victoria's Secret will adjust the brand to become more inclusive. To be continued.
