If you have to buy one fashion item
let it be the Hermès scarf

Fashionable people have a secret bingo card that must be checked off before you die. For example, it includes the Birkin from Hermès and the 2.55 from CHANEL, but at the very least, your legacy, which your survivors will drool over, must include a silk scarf from Hermès.
The carré from Hermès was introduced in 1937 by Robert Dumas, the grandson of Emile Hermès, and the company is still grateful for it to this day.
The carré was catapulted to the highest fashion regions by Elizabeth Taylor, Jackie Kennedy, and of course Queen Elizabeth, who protected her hair from the British rain by tying a Hermès scarf around it. Grace Kelly even used it as a sling when she wanted to spare her arm after a rather brutal wasp sting.
An average Hermès carré costs about €500. That seems like a lot of money, and it is, but it's not expensive when you consider how it's made.
– 250 Mulberry silk worms are used for one Hermès scarf.
– The print is unique and is hand-painted and then printed on the silk.
– The seams of the scarf are hand-embroidered.
– The print is printed in different layers.
– Twice a year, a collection appears in 12 designs.
– There are many ways to wear it: from top to scarf and from headscarf to sling.
– It will ultimately only become more valuable, so if you need a little push: voilà.
