The Netflix doc everyone is talking about is called The Program: Cons, Cults, and Kidnapping

Why Ivy Ridge is a must see

Ivy Ridge

Ivy Ridge in New York sounds like a fancy school where you have to be on a waiting list to then empty your wallet. But only the latter is the truth if you watch the documentary Ivy Ridge. Ivy Ridge was a kind of re-education camp, almost a prison if you believe the makers of the documentary where you were brainwashed/reprogrammed.

The people of Ivy Ridge call it a Behavior Modification Program, but that sounds quite like a euphemism. Children were lifted from their beds in their sleep, taken to Ivy Ridge, forced to not speak for days, and then coerced into admitting they had used drugs, even if they had never done so. Victims of this horror school have made a documentary to make people realize what can happen just like that. Where parents thought their children were going to a strict reform school, they ended up in a kind of prison. Not exactly light Saturday night viewing, but definitely an intriguing and important must see.
